Join Jofa and Mindy for the "7-Day Haunted Western New York" tour! We have planned a unique, ghostly adventure in Western New York for the paranormal and adventure enthusiasts.
Our tour begins in Buffalo, NY where together we will travel south to Dunkirk, NY to visit the Historic Dunkirk Lighthouse established in 1827. We'll learn about Civil War Union Soldier. Cpl. Cryus James of Dunkirk who perished on the first day of the Battle at Gettysburg. See Lake Erie which has been the site of several shipwrecks off the coast of Dunkirk. At night, we will experience our first private paranormal exploration of the lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum. I wonder who, or what, we'll encounter!
Day 2 allows some free time to explore Buffalo, NY. There are many sites to visit including the Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House, Old Fort Niagara and much more. In the evening, we'll adventure to our next private paranormal exploration of the Iron Island Museum built in 1883. The museum has served as a funeral home and church and has a purported spirit by the name of Edgar Zernicke, whose cremated remains went unclaimed in the basement. Will he make himself known to us?
After leaving Buffalo, we head north to iconic Niagara Falls! We'll be taking a 4 1/2 hour tour of the falls area with professional, licensed guides which will include:
- Ride aboard the Maid of the Mist Boat (rain gear provided)
- Trip to the Cave of the Winds
- Viewing of American Observation Tower
- Visit to Niagara River Gorge
- Visit to Niagara Falls State Park
- Visit or viewing the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Three Sisters Island, Terrapin Point, Luna Island, Prospect Park, Raging Rapids, Giant Whirlpool, Whirlpool State Park, Whirlpool Aero Car, Niagara Escarpment, the Hydro-electric Power Plants.
Then, it's off to the Red Coach Inn to check in, enjoy dinner and explore the inn for paranormal activity. Disembodied voices, full bodied apparitions, and EVPs are just a few of the activities experienced at this historic 1923 hotel. On day 4, we travel to Lockport, NY. Lockport boasts the "Flight of Five" historic locks built in 1825. We'll spend some time visiting the town and their historic venues before we head north to Appleton, NY for a private paranormal investigation of The Winery at Marjim Manor, featured on such shows as Ghost Hunters and Most Terrifying Places in America.
Day 5 we travel to Palmyra, NY where we will check into our hotel. You will have time to visit historic Palmyra before we take off in the evening to the historic 1858 Erie Mansion in Clyde, NY. This 40-room, 12,000 square foot mansion has 91 doors -- including 3 doors to nowhere, secret rooms, secret passageways, and trapdoors to the basement, beautiful architectural details and ornately carved furniture, secret/locking hiding spaces, life-size portrait of the owner with peeping eye flap to look downstairs and so much more! Some guests have left in the middle of the night due to the activity that they experienced. What haunting experiences will you have during our 6-hour private paranormal exploration at the mansion?
We top off our trip in Historic Palmyra, NY. we'll have a private tour of Historic Palmyra in preparation for our nighttime private 6-hour ghostly paranormal exploration of the William Phelps General Store, the Erie Canal Depot, Print Shop, the 23-room Palmyra Historical Museum and the Alling Coverlet Museum. These venues have claims of hearing ghostly children laughing, full bodied apparitions, shadow figures and more.
